the LN 2002 No. 1 Smooth Plane

"Hand Planes for the New Millennium"

Handcrafted to the most exacting standards with the highest quality materials available. The No. 1 is the smallest and most sought after of all bench planes. Only 5 1/2 inches long with a 1 3/16-inch extra thick A-2 steel blade.

These planes are cast from white bronze and finished to perfection. White bronze is silver in color and takes a polish equal to the most precious metals. The handles are plantation-grown Cocobolo. A beautiful plane to own that will become a valuable collectible, but also a fully working tool that will, if you chose to use it, produce shavings you can see through far into the millennium.

The LN 2002 planes will only be available for a limited time. The total production is limited to 500, with the No. 2002 cast into the body of each plane. Special casting ensures that the planes can not be copied, and the foundry patterns used to produce the planes will be destroyed once the 500 have been created. The lever cap of each plane will be engraved with its individual serial number, 1 to 500. Each plane is housed in a specially designed box and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
