Lie-Nielsen Chisel Planes (L-N 97 & 97 1/2)
A Chisel Plane is different from
a Bull-Nose in that there is no support at all ahead of the blade--
which makes for poor planing. However, as a clean-up tool,
with the blade set flush with the sole, the Chisel Plane excels,
removing glue, trimming plugs and dovetails flush or cleaning
into the very ends of rabbets.
