B69-44 PENCIL SHARPENER. F.S. Webster. The Webster pencil sharpener was introduced in 1898 and sold through the mid 1910s. Unusually tall at 7" with a base to allow it to be mounted to a desk. Japanning still mostly intact but only remnants of its gold decoration; functions but could use lubrication. Fastened to a wooden block for display, one foot is cracked. From the collection of Norm Otto. Good 100-200
