B69-59 PATTERNMAKER'S SQUARE. Stanley. Probably the rarest square made by Stanley. It has a 5-3/4" nickel plated handle and an 11" blade marked as a 1/2" to 12" shrinkage rule, and with a clear sweetheart mark. Never listed in any catalog or advertised, but a couple of examples are known and the consensus is that Stanley made them, possibly as a special order. The blade is slightly off square, not loose but constructed to accommodate shrinkage during the foundry process. From the collection of Steve Dice. Good+ 200-400
