B56-128. PATENT NUT WRENCH. Original Wrench and Jim Keats Model. The wrench has an adjustment mechanism that's similar to Coes but on opposite side from the jaws; we're pretty sure it's patented but can't identify it. The only marking is "F.H. Purington" and there was a patent issued to one Turner Purington in 1870 but it isn't that close. It was used by Bemis & Call on a variety of wrenches. 10", wooden handles, jaws slightly sprung but overall very clean. Plus the lot includes the Jim Keats model, whose models are not as well known as those by Hilary Klein but equally well made and prized by collectors, in its original oak box with floral design. From the collection of Cecil Holmes. Fine 150 - 250 **ALL ABSENTEE BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY END OF DAY FRIDAY JUNE 26, 2020.
