B56-516. ADJUSTABLE WRENCH. Pollock's Automatic. Nut wrench with a spring-loaded head and thumb lock. It's marked "Pollock's Automatic" and "Patent Pending." Charles Pollock, of Galesburg, IL, received both British and Canadian patents (in 1906 and 1908), but apparently never received a US patent although he manufactured his wrench in Galesburg and subsequently in Madison, WI. 9" long, works smoothly.
