B57-287 LOT OF TWO EIGHTEENTH CENTURY MOLDING PLANES. John Walton, Jr. 1-1/2" full round with a couple of screw holes on the side, and a 1/2" round from a hollow and round set, looks like apple, there's what looks like an apprentice hole which is incongruous for such a small plane, and a couple of major chips from the heel. Both are marked with Walton's "IW" B mark, five stars. Born in 1710, Walter, of Reading, Mass, was one of America's earliest planemakers. In 1775 he was one of the Minutemen who fired the shot heard round the world. Good 100-200 **All bids must be placed by end of day Friday, October 30, 2020.
