B57-536 EIGHTEENTH CENTURY MOLDING PLANE. Ion Ballou. Half-lap, 10" by 3/4" by 3-1/4". Heavy flat chamfers, relieved wedge, fluting at toe and heel. Overall clean with some wear at the throat, inactive worm and small stains. Ballou was one of the earliest planemakers in Providence who fought in the French and Indian War and died in 1760.
