The box is marked "inaugural run", and there's a handwritten letter enclosed, dated 5/14/98, from Mark Swanson, L-N's designer, to John Harkness thanking him for lending his original Stanley No. 164 to use as a pattern in exchange for the plane. Ductile iron body, 9" sole, 2" cutter, cocobolo knob and tote. A few traces of surface rust, but overall in near perfect condition, in its original packaging with paperwork.
