B59-206 IVORY TIPPED PLOW PLANE. D.P. Sanborn. Ebony body, boxed fence, and outer nuts; boxwood arms and inner nuts, rosewood wedge. Silver mounted. Two ivory tips with some tight checks but no damage. Sanborn's E mark (three stars); Providence Tool Co. cutter. There's a row of small nail holes along the top of the boxing where it is revealed by the cutout in the fence that is clearly intentional but it isn't clear what the purpose was.
