B59-365 BRACE. Whitman Patent. Patented 11/16/69 by Charles Whitman. Features a chuck with a screw shell with an open side to insert the bit. Marked with both the patent date (faint) and the words "C.P. Whitman Patent." Rated as "never seen" by Ron Pearson, and the only one we've ever listed. 11" sweep, cast iron head, no grip. Very light surface pitting. From the collection of Hank Allen. Fine 100-200
