b61-574 GRAVITY INCLINOMETER. Bradford Union. Patented in 1899 by Clinton Hodge of Watertown, NY, and manufactured by the Bradford Union Co. of Bradford, PA. The indicator is a mercury-filled tube with a needle end, suspended between two plates of glass. One of the rarest and most attractive of the gravity inclinometers, in the very uncommon 12" length. Cherry stock with a few small scratches, some light rust on the nickel. There's an old faded label on the bottom that is illegible but looks like a hardware label. A must have for any serious level collector. From the collection of Don Rosebrook. Good+ 1000-2000
