b61-600 INFILL SHOULDER PLANE. G. Miller. Very uncommon small size plane by the prolific London maker, gunmetal body with sweated steel sole, 4-1/2" x 7/16", rosewood infill and wedge, strike button, unsigned iron with plenty of blade left. George Miller signed only a fraction of his work, but this has a nice clear mark on the toe. Some prior owner has drilled two countersunk holes through the body, presumably to attach a fence. User name stamped on left cheek, some chipping from end of wedge, includes a wooden sleeve that has otherwise protected it. From a legendary private collection of infill and metal planes. Good+ 200-300
