b61-611 UNHANDLED SCREW ARM PLOW. Union Factory. Solid boxwood unhandled plow, with Chapin's Union Factory A mark. There are turned washers under the outer nuts that could be ivory but are more likely bone. We've never seen those on a Union Factory plane and thought they were a user addition, but the nuts themselves have turned shanks that fit into the washers which makes it seem that they are original. In addition, there are two small ivory points - too small to be called tips - on the ends of the arms. There's large chip from the front of the skate and a smaller one from the top of the left cheek and some gouges on the right cheek, all old and smoothed over, but the wood is otherwise very clean. A very intriguing plow plane with a story to tell. Good+ 200-400
