York2023-359 CHAIN WRENCH. Champion Wrench No. 3. Patented in 1890 by George Bufford of Brooklyn and manufactured by Ithaca Drop Forge Co. This one is 39" and clearly marked by Greene, Tweed & Co. which sold it for Ithaca as the "Champion" line. Bufford also assigned certain rights to J.W. Williams Co,. which resulted in protracted litigation. From the collection of Cecil Holmes. Good+ 60-120
