B62-76. ALUMINUM LEVEL. P.H. Vogel Patent. Patented in 1919 and sold for a short period by the Vogel company of New Britain, which was sold to Chapin-Stephens and ultimately acquired by Stanley, which sold them as No. 231. They were characterized by a brass webbing between aluminum rails. The short versions are the least common; this one is 12" long and marked by Chapin-Stephens. Good+ 90-180
