Instead of being boxed in the traditional manner, there's a thin piece of wood screwed to the face of the fence that looks original. The brass-headed screw in the top of the tote isn't a repair, and may have been decorative. We could only find one microscopic chip in the threads, and the wood overall is near mint. The rosewood has a very attractive grain, and overall this is a stunning plane, barely used. B mark. Fine 200-400
