Marcou is known for the heavy duty design of his planes as well as his obsessive attention to detail, and this plane is a tank that can plow through the densest and knottiest wood. In addition, it's a handmade thing of beauty with brass sides, dovetailed steel sole, and Rhodesian teak tote and knob. Marcou also numbered and dated his planes, and this one is No. 70 from 2010.
