B62-562. DOUBLE IRON CORNICE PLANE. I. Sleeper. Cove and ovolo profile (Whelan Figure 11.11A), each cut by a separate iron, total 3" profile, heavy chamfers, integral fence. 14" sole, offset tote behind the larger iron. Diamond shaped lignum strike button. The larger iron is James Cam, the small unsigned, both spalled and rusty. The tip of the tote is sheared off and there are some tight checks and scrapes, otherwise very clean. A mark, upside down. John Sleeper fought at Bunker Hill and was one of the most prolific planemakers of the colonial period. Good+ 300-600
