B62-636. SCREW-ARM PLOW PLANE. W. Brooks. Unhandled, beech body and fence with boxwood nuts. Brass depth stop with a distinctive nub on the adjusting screw. The body has some staining but no damage, the threads are good with a couple of small chips. William Brooks was an early Philadelphia planemaker who worked from 1791 to 1807, screw arm plows from that era are uncommon and this is the only one by Brooks we've seen. A1 mark. From the collection of Carl Bopp. Good+ 100-200
