B62-659. JOINTER PLANE. C.S. Irwin & Co. 20-1/2" sole Knowles-type jointer plane, with an unmarked 2-3/8" cutter, with a large rectangular front bun, closed tote and wedge. Unmarked but identified as made by this Pittsburgh firm in Prine's Planemakers of Western Pennsylvania and Environs. A few small chips from the tote and checks in the bun, and a ding in the wedge, but otherwise a very clean example of a very rare plane. From the collection of Cliff Sapienza. Good+ 1000-2000
