B62-673. INFILL MITRE PLANE. "Spiers" with Misspelled Mark. Cast steel original pattern body, 10" sole, rosewood fill, 2-1/4" unmarked snecked iron. Gunmetal bridge with decorative scalloped shape that matches the wedge, and misspelled "Speir" mark. Possibly a craftsman trying to make knockoff Spiers planes, but exceptionally well done and uncommon. Wedge has some dings and dents. From a legendary collection of infill and metal planes.
