B62-698. DENTAL TOOTH KEY. Used in tooth extraction in the days before anesthetic. 4-1/2" long with 3-1/2" ebonized handle. An old handwritten tag states that it was used by the author's father, Dr. Joshua Porter, in North Brookfield, MA, in 1840. Just looking at it makes us wince. Fine 100-200
