B63-146. ADJUSTABLE BACKSAW. George H. Bishop. Patented in 1906 by Frederick Wuest but manufactured by Bishop, most are marked with Bishop's Lawrenceburg, IN, location, but this has a nice clear etch with the Cincinnati location which marks it as early. Blade is clamped by a bar that allows it to be slid up or down for variable cuts, or reversed entirely to use teeth of a different pitch. Came in various lengths, this is the 14" version. The blade is rust free with a very clear etch and the applewood handle is mint. If you only have one Wuest patent in your collection this should be the one. Fine 80-150
