B63-598. INFILL SMOOTHING PLANE. Stewart Spiers. Cast iron body with 7" tapered sole, ebony fill, gunmetal cap iron with early domed cap screw, upside down small "Spiers Ayr" mark. 1-7/8" Ward & Payne double iron. A chip from the rear edge of the bun is all that keeps it from fine. From a legendary private collection of infill planes. Good+ 600-1200
