B67-1 ADVERTISING SIGN. Disston & Son. 26" rip saw (5-1/2 ppi), with "Disston & Son Saws. Phila." painted in yellow and orange. The "and Son" dates it to between 1865 and 1871. Ironically, it's probably not a Disston saw, with no visible etch and a generic medallion. No hangholes or other signs of how it was mounted. Blade is oxidized but rust-free, painting is nearly complete, and the handle is immaculate as would be expected of a saw that was never actually used. Fine 400-800
