B67-112 LOT OF THREE PRECISION STRINGING PLANES. Designed to cut very narrow grooves into which "strings" of contrasting wood could be inserted. Two are open throat types, where the cutter and nicker are both wedged in open grooves on the plane cheek, one is 6" long of red beech with a hardwood sole and brass plates, the other is 4-1/2" long with a curved sole. The third has a steel plate with rabbet escapement, and an adjustable fence, 8" long with squirrel tail body.
