B67-277 INCLINOMETER. Kern Patent. Patented in 1906 by Bernard Kern, Jr., of Toledo, but marked only with the patent year like all known examples. This is one of the most attractive and gizmoish of the patented inclinometers with its adjustable central vial assembly and 24" mantle clock stock. Most examples used common softwood for the body, and have significant wear, but this one has an attractive reddish finish and is one of the cleanest examples we've seen. Both the wood and brass have been cleaned and polished. Fine 500-1000
