B67-287 LOT OF FIVE MOLDING PLANES. Israel White. One moving filletster, three side beads, and one complex moulder with quirk ovolo and astragal. All very clean, noting a few scratches and dings with elaborate lignum boxing. In addition, all are marked by the journeymen in the White plane-making shop who actually made the planes. The initials on the planes indicate that William McDaniel (WMD) made the moving filletster, Thomas Donoho (TD) made the half inch and the 1-1/8" beads, Nathan Norton (NN) made the 1/4" bead, and Frederick Miller (FM) made the complex moulder. All four of these journeymen went on to make planes bearing their own names. A superb collection. From the collection of Steve Dice. Fine 200-400
