B67-341 COMBINATION CLAPBOARD PLANE. Burlington Patent. Patented in 1874 by Burkner Burlington of Wakefield, MA, and include a block plane, marking gauge and square designed for use in laying out and trimming clapboards. Gunmetal, 8-1/4" long with decorative casting, unmarked but unmistakable. There's a photo of one in PTAMPIA I, Figure 166, but at the time little was known about them. Roger has since uncovered a lot more information, and a more detailed description will be included in PTAMPIA III, available in 2026 exclusively from the Fine Tool Journal. Clean and complete, and one of only a small handful of known examples. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good+ 1000-2000
