B67-348 ADJUSTABLE FENCE PLOW PLANE. Sandusky Scissor Arm. Patented by Ellis Morris of Canton, Ohio, in 1871, and manufactured by Sandusky, unmarked but unmistakable. This is the earlier version without the thumbscrew cutter clamp or the separate throat for a nicker; it also has a rosewood tote and wedge which is unusual but they look original. Includes a set of six Sandusky cutters, plus one from a different set in the plane. Japanning about 50%, wood has wear but no damage, works smoothly. From the collection of David Jeffers.
