B67-565 BROOKS PATENT INCLINOMETER. Stanley No. 26. Stanley's rarest level, patented by Lebbeus Brooks in 1854 and marketed in the early 1860s as the No. 26 Universal Level. The vial assembly rotates and a long pointer housed in the hollow stock indicates the angle on the end. Mahogany, both vials original, missing its instruction label but otherwise in near fine condition with only a few scratches to the wood. They don't come on the market very often. Good+ 750-1500
