B67-600 BEVELING FENCE. H.P. Taylor & Co. Designed to be screwed to the cheek of a wooden or transitional bench plane; one of several competing designs doomed by the advent of cast iron planes. This one was patented in 1878 by Harrison Taylor of Minerva, OH; the patent model is shown in PTAMPIA II, Figure 104, but this is the first production example we've seen. 9" walnut fence with 80% complete label, plated clamping mechanism, dedicated rod used to tighten the thumb screw inserted in a hole in the end. From the collection of David Jeffers. Good+ 120-240
