B67-650 JOINTER PLANE. Smith & Carpenter Patent. Closely resembles the plane shown in page 127 of PTAMPIA I, patented by F. Smith & I. Carpenter; less elaborate metal casting but lever cap looks identical. Possibly an early version. 24" long wooden body with 2-1/2" unmarked cutter with surface rust and light pitting. Knob has large crack and chunk missing, tote has tip missing. Some staining and wear to body. A very rare plane. From the collection of Cliff Sapienza. Good 1000-2000
