B67-693 ROTARY KNIFE CLEANER & SHARPENER. Spong & Co. Oak drum, 16-1/2" in diameter, with iron frame and crank. There are openings for up to four knives; they're lined with brushes so inserting the knives clean them, and then turning the crank, rotates a wheel lined with leather strops. Heavy brass plaque with "Spong & Co. Manufacturer London." It also includes a wrench to adjust the crank in a dedicated loop. Spong was a maker of household goods and appliances founded in 1856.
