B67-722 DOUBLE BLADED BEVEL. Possible Stanley Model Shop. Resembles the Frank Witter patent, but not marked and both bevel blades are sliding. It has what looks like a Model Shop number (998), and Steve's notes indicate that it may have been a prototype for a Traut patent, possibly an improvement to the Witter design. We can't connect it to a specific Traut patent, but it's very well made with a 7-1/2" brass and rosewood body and 6-3/4" and 9-3/4" blades. An historical mystery. From the collection of Steve Dice. Fine 200-400
