B68-90 AUGER BIT DISPLAY. Display illustrating the fourteen steps involved in producing a Stanley/Jennings auger bit, starting with the tang and body blanks and ending with the final chrome finish. The final product is an 11/16" bit, with the red Stanley notched rectangle mark. Examples of each state in the process are labeled and clipped into a hinged wooden box, 12-1/2" x 13" closed. The box has a couple of splits and scratches but each stage in the bit manufacturing process is immaculate, sharp and rust free. Three of the stages also have separate examples of the end. There are no other labels, and we're not sure what it was used for, but it was carefully assembled. From the collection of Jim and Christa Schoenky. Fine 175-350
