B68-176 TRIGGER ADJUSTMENT SMOOTHING PLANE. Millers Falls No. 8900. Made from 1974 to the mid-1990s. Has low cheeks, red japanning on frog sides, silver japanning on lever cap, and black japanning on bed are all intact. Plastic lever cap screw, ebonized tote and knob. The version of the No. 8900 pictured in the MF catalog was never actually produced, but one variation that was produced had a trigger-like adjustment mechanism behind the frog.
