B68-320 SMOOTHING PLANE. Prelateral Stanley No. 3. Good example of the rare Type 3 with the two-piece frog that Stanley experimented briefly with in 1872-73 before coming to their senses. Proper cutter with J mark, complete japanning, large chip from end of glued tote but wood and metal otherwise clean. From the collection of Cliff Sapienza. Good 100-200
