B68-527 ARTIFICIAL HORIZON. W & L.E. Gurley. 7-1/4" long with base and tray, inside original wooden box with Gurley label in lid. In like new condition. Artificial horizons are used in surveying and navigation when the horizon was not visible, by sighting on the reflection of a star in a flat pool of liquid, in the old days typically mercury.
