B68-653 BLOCK PLANE. Bailey Tool Co. Very rare example of the block plane shown in PTAMPIA I, Figure 73a, with 6-1/2" sole, curved lever cap and cam locking mechanism. No known model number. Original marked cutter with battleaxe, with a wooden knob that we haven't seen in other examples. ?Wood has moderate wear, metal has surface oxidation but no rust or deep pitting. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good 600-1200
