TC26-238 ALUMINUM JACK PLANE. Stanley No. A5. Between 1925 and 1935 Stanley had the bright idea of making its line of Bailey-type planes with aluminum bodies to make them lighter and easier to handle. This is a nice example with light scratching on sole, tote and knob near fine. Cutter marked with patent for Higby's kidney shaped lever cap but lever cap does not match. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good+ 100-200
