TC26-255 SLITTING GAUGE. Auxer & Remley. 11" stem, original slitting blade with rosewood wedge. Head locked by hand carved locking screw. Mark very faint, has been refinished. Samuel Auxer, an apprentice of E.W. Carpenter, partnered with Reuben Remley in approximately 1870 to 1871, a short-lived partnership as Auxer then ran the shop in his own name from 1871 until he closed the shop in early 1880.
