TC26-278 SPELK PLANE. Used to cut thick shavings, or spelks, to form the sides of pillboxes and cheeseboxes. See Whelan, page 309. Unsigned and user made, 24" sole and 3-1/2" cutter, secured by two hand-wrought ram's horn wingnuts. Two handles. Well used with typical wear for age, cutter has surface corrosion. Good 60-120
