In the final iteration of his improved version of the Phillips patent plow, Matthias Mayo replaced the original pinstriping with a coat of gold paint, cast the four letters of his name into the heads of the locking screws, and cast "The Boss Plane" in the side. This example has some light surface corrosion and the gold paint is dull and about 50%. Includes one original cutter. Heads of the locking screws are worn, particularly the Y and O.
