TC26-427 REFERENCE BOOK. Davies' Surveying. Copyright 1898 with writing and stamps on inside cover from a Lieutenant C.A. Seoane, 3rd Cavalry, and handwritten note of "Manila" and date of 1900. Pages are clean with light yellowing, some staining and wear on cover, spine becoming detached. According to the internet, Consuelo Andrew Seoane (1876?1964) was a colonel in the United States Army (3rd Cavalry) who was one of the first of two American spies for the U.S. Army known to have operated in Japan, Korea, Ryukyu, Taiwan, Manchuria and China.
