Y-281. EIGHTEENTH CENTURY MOLDING PLANE. S. Caruthers. Quirk bead, 1/2", 10" long by 3" high, narrow rounded chamfers, relieved wedge. Samuel Caruthers was the first recorded planemaker in Philadelphia, who began in 1745. Wood oxidized and has some wear, but not bad for being over 250 years old. Mark faint but legible. Good 100-200 **All absentee bids must be placed by end of day, Friday, January 24, 2020. Current high bids can be obtained by calling our office at (800) 248-8114.
