B56-292. SET OF FRENCH CASEMENT PLANES. S. Dalpe. Used to make the interlocking seal on the edges of French casement windows. Stamped on the heel "1-1/2" which referred to the total width of the sash. These were made only in Quebec, and Samuel Dalpe, of Roxton Pond, Quebec, was a founder of the French planemaking industry.
