B58-072 HORSE SPECULUM. Kirsch Patent. Used to hold the horse's mouth open to administer medicine. Pressing the ring end forced the jaws apart, and locked by ratchet. Marked "Peter Kirsch, Pat. 3-27-35, Decatur Ind." 3/27/1935 wasn't a Tuesday but 3/27/1835 was although it doesn't look that old. Nickel plated and very clean. Good+ 80-150
