B58-250 LOG CALIPER WITH WALKING WHEEL. Florence M. Greenleaf. Florence "Flossie" Greenleaf was the daughter of rulemaker William Greenleaf and an important maker in her own right. This one has the bullet-shaped cutout in the sliding jaws that is characteristic of both Greenleafs and also has a decorative brass "G" inlaid into the wood. It's marked "Greenleaf Cordwood Caliper, F.M. Greenleaf, 82 Oak Ave., Belmont, Mass, Maker." 48" beam, with minor staining but still legible, brass lined jaws work smoothly. The 19" diameter walking wheel with copper rivets is unsigned but appears to be contemporary with the caliper. Good+ 800-1500
